Technical Co-Founder for Startup (Entrepreneur in Residence) – Berlin/Remote
ABOUT BEAM
Beam is a Berlin-based startup company builder with a bias for (intra-)logistics and technical challenges. We are supported by BEUMER Group – a family business and one of the world’s leading intralogistics companies. We offer pre-seed funding; access to potential customers; solid launch support; and, above all, validated business opportunities for those who want to launch a startup.
We are looking for a technical co-founder to join one of our pre-seed startups in helping manufacturers reshore, nearshore and localise production sites in new markets faster and cheaply and with software.
Today, this process typically takes 4-8 months of manual work to complete and costs between € 500,000 and €1.5 million. We aim to reduce these costs and time for manufacturers
The solution we have in mind:
Our AI decision helps manufacturers find and select suitable production facilities, understand local funding, tax requirements, understand local regulations and benchmark these metrics against other locations before making their localisation decisions. The solution monitors industry specific geo political risks and models risk and costs associated with reshoring production in selected markets.
The AI engine develops risk simulators including FX, energy costs, tariffs, and supplier availability to help manufacturers mitigate risk on tariffs and currency fluctuations in selected markets.
YOU'LL BE THE PERFECT MATCH IF
You’re an engineer with a strong technical backbone and leadership mindset, ideally with CTO experience.
You have a track record of running your own startups and successfully building ventures.
You have a strong interest in AI, manufacturing and automation, ideally with experience applying them to real-world problems.
You’re excited to work in manufacturing tech, ideally with experience building interactive SaaS software dashboards with tools such as APIs, and web crawlers
You have the drive to build the next big thing and bring it successfully to market together with us.

Shape and own the AI-driven technical vision and system architecture that will help manufacturers localise their production sites.
Design an industry-changing solution for manufacturers and localisation experts, shaping the future of trade, reshoring and nearshoring production.
You will choose and lead your dream tech team to deliver groundbreaking products and drive an industry revolution.
